At Pastis, Adriana Lima Is Coy About Her Virginity Pledge
The front rows at Bryant Park on Saturday, Sept. 6 were noticeably shorter on notable names, probably due to Tropical Storm Hanna. But the Daily Transom found quite a few ducking into Pastis that evening for a dinner hosted by Carlos Jereissati, the owner of luxury shopping malls in Brazil.
"I'm very familiar with the shopping malls because I spent a little bit of time in Sao Paolo and we have mutual friends," said Vogue editor-at-large Hamish Bowles, when we found him mingling with guests in the back of the room.
Mr. Bowles didn't seem particularly bothered by the unpleasant weather conditions outdoors.
"It's giving me full-on Brazilian tropical vibes!" he said. "I've already had to change once today. I have a lovely Louboutin rain coat that I've completely forgotten about." read more »
Herchcovitch Takes on Hurricane Hanna: Duck Boots Dominate Front Row
On Saturday, Sept 6., the tents in Bryant Park turned into a sea of khaki trench coats as the crowds escaped Hurricane Hanna for Alexandre Herchcovitch's 7pm show. Guests seemed far less concerned with how they looked in the front row than with staying dry. The Daily Transom counted several pairs of rubber galoshes and L.L. Bean duck boots in the front row
Even Kelly Cutrone, the publicist handling the show, was running around in patent leather, pointy-toed, ankle high boots that looked like they would keep her feet dry even if she decided to go running through the puddles outside. read more »
