Errol Louis Must Take the Following
Honesty Test.

Before Errol Louis takes the test by indicating true or false,
let me say this: "I, Smith Georges, affirm that
Errol Louis wrote or told me the following":

1- His Parents are from Trinidad

2- He went to Haiti (Jacmel) in 1987 & 1997

3- He had Haitian girl friends

4- He ran for City Council about 10 years ago
in Brooklyn's 35th district

5-He might even support Dr. Mathieu Eugene
in the new special election

Errol Louis Responded to my Article (I have posted his response as is):

Naturally, you didn't quote a word of what I actually wrote, and certainly didn't deal with the various conflicting statements of your canddiate. But at least I now know you are one of the dishonest and self-deluded people I don't need to waste time with. Have a nice life.

Errol Louis has an impressive educational background (Harvard, Yale, Brooklyn Law Shool). But who is he trying to impress lately? I have to tell it like I hear it in the Haitian community. Haitians, Haitian-Americans, and other people of caribbean descent are asking these questions: Is errol Louis of Haitian descent? Why has he singled out Dr. Mathieu Eugene to attack relentlessly in his bias articles. Molly Kroon of NY1 reported that several of the 10 candidates live outside of the 40th District in Brooklyn? Is Errol Louis a puppet/Uncle Tom of his Daily News puppeteer masters? Has he become a sour grapes journalist because the sore loser candidate that he supported was soundly defeated by Dr. Mathieu Eugene? I can answer one question with certainty. Errol louis told me that his parents are from Trinidad, and the only Haitian connection he has are his ex-Haitian girlfriends who took him to Haiti in 1987 and 1997 where he visited Jacmel. Now the question is, did Errol Louis go Haiti, the First Black Independent country in the world, to chase history or the flesh? In any case, every black person on this planet should make it a duty to visit Haiti. Errol Louis also told me that he ran for City Council in Brooklyn's 35 th district about 10 years ago. Is Errol Louis suffering of an identity crisis or low self-esteem? or worse, does he really have the Uncle Tom syndrome?

The Daily News/Errol louis has asked Dr. Mathieu Eugene to throw the towel and get lost; on the contrary, Dr Eugene will run again in the new special election scheduled for Tuesday, April 24, 2007, and he is confident that he will win handily again. Haitians are strong and proud people. For the record, the Haitian-Jamaican alliance is not something new. It dates back to the last quarter of the 18th century where a brillant man by the name of Boukman came from Jamaica to Haiti to help Haitians in their struggle for liberty. Boukman headed the Bois-Caiman Ceremony in 1791 which was the spark that ignited the Haitian Revolution. Today, the Haitian alliance with Former Councilmember Una Clarke and Congressmember Yvette Clarke and the rest of the Jamaican and the caribbean community has sent chills to the bone of the people who fear the political maturation and evolution of the caribbean community can culminate to more power and a bigger share of the pie in America.

Errol Louis told me that he might support Dr. mathieu Eugene in the new special election scheduled for April 24, 07. Does Errol Louis have a sense of guilt or does he want to redeem himself? Until then, he continues to remain in the eyes of the Haitian and most of the caribbean community as a puppet/Uncle Tom whose strings are being pulled by his Daily News puppeteer masters or somebody else.

All these folks ranting and getting hot and heavy about Errol Louis's comments should get lost.

Remember Shakespeare's Hamlet

"Thus protest much."

Maybe Mathieu thought that the NYC Council is the same kind of corrupted business that happens in Haiti - it's not.

Mathieu's campaign is an embarassment to people of Haitian descent.

Mathieu has attended various community forums over the last couple of weeks and frankly never appeared to be the brightest bulb among the candidates.

If the people that surround him in his campaign conduct business like this - what's to say that he could even handle city hall and public life in an ethical way.

It's a real shame and a pity for haitians and most importantly for people of color.

It's a real shame.
