Jim Shi is Out at Fashion Week Daily
Jim Shi, the bow-tie wearing Fahion Week Daily news editor, sent out an email to close pals and colleagues on Friday informing them that he is moving on.
"Yes, Monday is my last day at The Daily. It's been a phenomenal ride, and I couldn't have asked for a better boss or company to guide me in this industry," Mr. Shi wrote the Daily Transom on Saturday. "What am I up to next? You'll have to wait and find out."
Hmmm. You might remember that Mr. Shi had some aspirations a while back to appear as a contestant on CBS' Amazing Race, a reality show where two-person teams race around the globe.
Back then he told us that while he asked friend Leslie Fremar, stylist to actresses Jennifer Connelly, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Julianne Moore, to be his partner on the show, they were not yet confirmed as contestants.
Could this be their chance?
I heard he was fired. Long time coming. Something about blowing off last Paris and Milan fashion weeks and going AWOL. Heard, in general, he's somewhat of a shady character, made up loads of stories glamorizing his background.
Jim was a theif and a liar- he got fired.
Brandusa his beloved keeper and Daily EIC was seen shedding crocodile tears from her robotic eye after HR kicked his butt out the door. (most likely for herself)becasue she now has to find a new.. compulsivly lying, petty theiving, daily uniform of brown juicy cutoure velour sweat pants (faded at both knees-can't make this stuff up) wearing drone that she can pay 50 cents a day to.
I heard that Ashley Baker is to blame. She always hated Asians. I'm still surprised how they hired her after a Glamour scandal.
Thank god...journalism (if you can call it that) has never been more petty, uninformed, or sensationalized as when Shi was at The Daily. A horrible human being who got into the business for all the wrong reasons.....Many of us in the fashion world will be happy to never again see his brown nose.
