Hillary's Debt

hillarydebt

Here’s the form Hillary Clinton supporters are asked to fill out when donating money to help retire her campaign debt.

The form was sent to me this morning by a reader who received it recently. It reads in part, “I hereby designate my contribution to be used towards 2008 primary election debt retirement for Hillary Clinton for President. I am making this contribution with my own personal funds and not with funds provided by any other person."

One question to think about is how many of Clinton's donors are even eligible to help her out. After all, wasn't one of the reasons she fell behind Barack Obama in the money game the fact that she relied on wealthy donors who maxed out -- contributing $2,300 to her primary and general election funds? Those supporters, no matter how much they may want to, can't now give her more money.

The Clinton's are crazy to ask for money to pay down their campaign debt, and people who donate are even more insane.

Suckers.

You need to find some other news. God bless Hillary and all her donors.

Hillary ran a magnificent campaign and she kept going because all of us that believed in her begged her not to quit because like Obama's grandmother we are afraid of him and what he and his unpatriotic, unamerican wife could do this country. Many of us are poor and have not given the maximum and I for one feel it is only right to support her in getting as much of her money back as we can afford to send.

Anonymous (not verified) says:

Hillary should send those requests to her 18 million women friends/supporters who so desperatly needed her to win the Democratic nomination for President. Hell they only need to send in one dollar and she'd be home free.

Hillary did a wonderful job with her campaign. Give her a few bucks to help out. It is always good to have several canidates running for president. we were able to receive plenty of information through debates and because there was good competition. Tell me when we have had canidates of substance to chose from. Usually it is the less of the evils.

I for one am happy to donate money to help Hillary pay down her debts. We asked her to continue the campaign and are very proud of her for her accomplishments. She is a very classy smart woman and I am proud to have her for my senator....although I would have much rather had her for my president.

Most of the people that have bad things to say about Hillary don't have a clue about what she has done or what she really is about...they just mimic what they have heard in the press and the press has never given her fair coverage.

Hillary may have have run a good campaign. ( if you don't count the fear mongering )But I'm sorry, She lost. Deal with it. Obama and Hillary have virtually the same policies. You sound like one of those ignorant West Virginians. Obama's grandmother is afraid of him? Where the f**k did you dig up that garbage? Do you know anything about The Obama'a? Perhaps you watch too much Fox news. You should just go and vote for John Mc Cain and get it over with. Barack Obama is helping RETIRE HILLARY'S DEBT. Don't be such and idiot.

Hillary should pay off her own campaign debt. She and her hubby have earned $119 million since leaving office. She has more than enough to do so.

She was the one who STUBBORNLY pushed forward with her campaign even after being told MONTHS ago that she could
not overcome Obama's lead in delegates. She tried to
BULLY her way into the nomination.

Barack Obama owes her nothing in the way of paying off her
debt - and he and his supporters should give her ZERO.

I never liked BILLARY.
I don't like OBAMA.
I don't like MCCAIN.

We have three losers as choices.

I love the idea of Democrats sending 5 Million dollars to Mark Penn.

Maybe they could cut a fat check for Dick Morris while they're at it.

Anonymous (not verified) says:

These people are fools, maybe if Hill had to pay this debt herself she would think twice about having the huge ego that she has. Let her or Slick Willie write another book. She does not care about all the small businesses she owes millions to!

Anonymous (not verified) says:

I think that Hillary should put Bill (slick willie) out for stud services to pay off her debt.

Martha (Indio) (not verified) says:

Yesterday (7/10),either on CNN or Fox (not sure which) there was someone on TV indicating they had already raised 10M plus to retire Hillary;s debt and they expected to raise more over the week end to complete retire her debt. People were asked to contribute.
Does anyone know what that website is and if that piece of news was true?

Yes, the news report was accurate. The gentleman you saw on FOX was Will Bower from JustSayNoDeal.com. JSND is a coalition of 230 websites run by VOTERS who all share the same voice - NOBAMA. Our reasons differ, but the sentiment does not.

P.U.M.A. PAC is a huge part of this coalition and we also did the fund drive on July 4th. The democratic process in this country has been hijacked by the DNC and twisted into a cornonation instead of a nomination. We feel the DNC and the MSM treated Senator Clinton horribly during the primary process. We disagree with ANY voter being considered 1/2 a VOTE under any circumstances. We want the misogyny, sexism, racism, ageism, and stereotyping to stop. The DNC had NO RIGHT to force her out of one of the closest Democratic Presidential races in history. Obama had no right to "UNCOMMITTED" votes in MI, and certainly had no right to the four delegates that were stolen from Hillary and given to Obama. He wasn't on the ballot, so how could he be awarded votes? These are some of the many reasons our PUMA group - People United Means Action - blog.pumapac.org - is protesting the 2008 Presidential Election. It has nothing to do with race. It has everything to do with experience, fairness, and transparency - something the current leadership at the DNC has overlooked, totally neglected, or disregarded. Oh, and let's not mention changing the rules.

If you are a disenfranchised Democrat, 1/2 a person (until August at least - how convenient), or patriot who believes that democracy as our founding fathers intended it to be is in dire peril, join us. All are welcome as long as you leave the negativity, pot shots, and racist or sexist comments at the portal.

Why is Hillary's debt even a part of this election's conversation???..

With 18 million "strong supporters"..why don't each one of them donate $1.28 cents and its over...

This distraction only hurts the party and she knew the financial ramifications of staying in..

I really don't understand many comments from HRC supports. Please explain to me, and perhaps others why 1. Another woman other than HRC is unacceptable as the VP; because she earned it? Why not another woman, and is it not true that the president selects his VP? 2. I hear a lot of anti-female comments made by the news media, and only one by Obama he called her as stated that it was wrong to call her sweetie). McCane even laughed when a woman called HRC a b**ch. Why are the HRC supporters contributing these comments to Obama. Please don't tell me that brushing the shoulder is anti-female, or fist bumb; or as one woman said, the word "bitter" is a clue word to refer to females. 3. Why do you discount the fact the African-Americans will stay home before voting for HRC. Regardless if it is this election or 4 years from now, the Clintons have fallen out of favor with 22% of the Democratice faithful That is a fact. 4. I have been voting for over 40 years; since when is the winner required to pay the debt of the looser? I am not referring to a few thousand - but milliions. 5. If Hillery was sucha a good person, why did she speak so ill of another democratic canidate over the Republican canidate. This have never bee done before. 6. Do you think that Obama could name HRC as the VP after her inapproprate comment about Kennedy. Of course she would not have anything to do with harming anyone, but the seed was planted by her. Please, I would like only HRC supporters to reply.

How can you say that Obama shoudl not receive any votes from Michigan; when Detroit has a large population of African Americans who voted uncommitted because Obama was not on the ballot. it appears that the concern for HRC outweighs the intent of hundreds of thousands of voters in Michigan. Ask yourselves, how could the Democratic party win with HRC when these many voters were excluded in the primary. You have no ideal how African Americans and other Obama supporters would take this. Trust me when I say that the Democratic party will not win a snowball fight, much less the presidental election if this had occurred. Please do not consider her African Americna puppets if you think Africans Americans and Obama supports will rally around her. Do you actually think that she will receive sufficnet numbers of the Black votes, which represents the much needed 22% of the Democratic base? The fact is, HRC lost because she ignored the small states; caucus states; and comments by Bill; "Hard working white voters"; and sniper fire did not help.

Hillary supporters know she was the best candidate for the job,we appriciate her hard fight for us and we are showing her our appriciation and respect by helping her maintain her dignity by not relying on the Oborg for her assistance.

What all the silly people fail to realize while promoting the preposterous notion that a "small donation" is one hundred dollars from some white collar liberal college educated person, is that Hillary is absolutely adored by the really poor working class American in the eastern swing States. Her website was asking for donations of five and ten dollars in the last months, and getting them from people who had never given to a Presidential Candidate in their lives. She is not just the poster child for the fat-cats. She can relate to these patriotic, blue collar Americans who have "God Bless America" signs on their front door. You people, who are having such fun disparaging her and them, have no idea how betrayed they feel by the party leaders and how much they only wish they had more to give to her campaign. They are the ones who will truly suffer if this roll of the dice on "Hope and Change" speeches doesn't come through in November. And yes, it is disheartening to see how the African American community turned on a dime against the Clintons after a lifetime of real-world effort on their behalf, for a new kid on the block.

18 million supporters strong!
=============================

OH WHERE OH WHERE ARE THEY GONE?
================================

WOULD SOMEONE, ANYONE, EVEN A TWO YEAR OLD, PLEASE, TELL ME JUST WHY IN THE FACE OF ALL LOGIC, IS HILLARY'S DEBT STILL AN ISSUE!

ARE Hillary's 18 MILLION SUPPORTERS not capable of doing SIMPLE MATH? PLEASE PEOPLE, TELL ME, WHERE ARE HILLARY'S 18 MILLION SUPPORTERS?

It would seem to me that THESE 18 MILLION AVID SUPPORTERS (who by the way are STILL not willing to accept her/their loss) WOULD BE MORE THAN WILLING TO SEND HILLARY A CHEQUE OR MONEY ORDER FOR $1.00 OR $1.50.(yes you are seeing right that HUGE AMOUNT is one dollar or one dollar and fifty cents)...sooooooooooooo sorry, maybe they do not sell money orders for such an INSIGNIFICANT AMOUNT....maybe it costs more to WRITE THE CHEQUE than the AMOUNT OF THE CHEQUE)

CALLING ALL HILLARY SUPPORTERS. JUST WHAT ARE YOU HIDING?
Hillary's debt should be COMPLETELY PAID OFF BY NOW BY HER LOVING SUPPORTERS! THEREFORE PLEASE TELL US WHAT IS GOING ON!

IT IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING TO THINK THAT 18 MILLION LOVING SUPPORTERS CANNOT DIG DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP IN THEIR POCKETS (just pick up all of the loose change) TO HELP HILLARY OUT WITH HER DEBT.

SHAME ON YOU HILLARY SUPPORTERS!

The only other EXPLANATION that I can come up with, is this HILLARY'S 18 MILLION STRONG SUPPORTERS IS/WAS A COMPLETE HOAX AND A HUGE LIE!

Anonymous (not verified) says:

I THINK THAT IN ALL OF THE POINTS THAT YOU ADDRESSED, YOU ARE 100% RIGHT ON! But you left out a couple of other of HILLARY'S FAULTS.

1) Hillary threw so much MUD AT BARACK that now McCAIN IS NOW USING THIS TO ATTACT BARRACK. (you know if his own running mate can say this about him, HOW CAN YOU DOUBT IT?)

Why is it that Hillary's supporters NOW GOING AFTER McCAIN for all of his DISGUSTING REMARKS ABOUT WOMEN, HE EVEN CALLED HIS OWN WIFE CINDY A C*** IN PUBLIC!

I really hope that you are not upset because of my reply, because I AM A 110% BARACK SUPPORTER.

Anonymous (not verified) says:

Sorry, that should read.....ARE NOT GOING AFTER McCAIN

You are crazy. The Clinton's want you to pay their debt so they do not have to come out of their pocket. They have the money to pay it now, but they would rather have you pay it. With thinking like yours, it is no wonder politicians treat the American public like, imbeciles and sheep!

Anonymous (not verified) says:

I am a well-educated, well-informed, rags-to-riches via hard work and support from others, African-American woman with two young sons who is married to an African-American small business owner and I love HILLARY! I voted for Hillary because she stood for the little guy and yeah she and Bill are rich - now, but they didn't both start out that way. I admire hard work, resilience, commitment and loyalty. I guess I am a dying breed. So I have donated to the debt retirement because we pushed her to stay in. She asked to hear from supporters at different points and the blog comments were always pushing her to keep going forward. We, Hillary's supporters, urged her to stay in and keep fighting.

Well, she lost, but it was a hell of a contest and I hope the fight made Barack stronger and more ready to lead than he was before the battle of the primary season.

So now I have thrown my support behind Obama, because the prospect of President McCain is horrifying. I just hope Barack can pull it off.

jason (not verified) says:

With Hillary out of the race I don't know who I will be voting for.
McCain - no way.
Obama - not sure.
