Scores Rep: Disgraced Cop Said 'Club Was Clean'
James Hamilton.

Embattled strip club Scores West continues to bet its future on disgraced cop Michael Oliver.

According to Thursday's Post article:

Attorneys for stripper shack Scores West argued yesterday that it should keep its liquor license because it got the all-clear from vice investigator Michael Oliver - the detective at the center of the Sean Bell police shooting...

"He told the management the club was clean," [Scores' lawyer] said.

The Observer reported back in August that Scores had employed an accuse-the-accusers strategy in its fight to stay in business.

“We believe that over the past year undercover police officers of the vice squad have intimidated my client and have demanded that they be given, actually, full access to the premises without having to have to pay for any of the services that they participate in within Scores,” as another Scores attorney earlier argued.

The club's licensing troubles began in January, when undercover cops arrested four women and two male employees on prostitution charges at the West Chelsea stripper-plex.

"Since then," according to the Post, "just one woman, Nicole Green, 24, of Brooklyn, pleaded guilty to prostitution. Two more pole dancers copped to disorderly conduct and four others saw the charges dropped."
